3634862 - When exporting a Story containing multiple tabs to PDF, only the selected tab exports to PDF in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Only 1 tab exports to PDF.
• When exporting a Story containing a Tab Strip widget, to PDF format in SAP Analytics Cloud, it only exports the selected tab, and not the other tabs in the generated PDF document.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Create a Story, and add the widget: Tab Strip
3. In the Tab Strip widget, add Tables, or Charts under different tabs. 
4. View the Story.
5. Export the Story to PDF format, by selecting "Export…", under the menu "File"
6. In the window: "Export Story", select the File Type: "PDF"
7. When opening the generated PDF document, it only contains the information for the tab that was selected in the Story, and not all the other tabs.

• When exporting a Story to PDF format that contains the widget: Tab Strip, it only export the selected tab, and not the other tabs.
• This behavior is expected because when exporting to PDF, it export the visible components of the Story only. This is why the other Tabs of the Tab Strip widget are not exported to PDF.

• To workaround this limitation, and have everything export to PDF, the suggestion will be to not use the widget "Tab Strip", but instead create multiple Pages on the Story, and add the content of each Tab that was in the Tab Strip widget, under a different Page.
    
  
  1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, open the Story in Edit mode.
  2. Create the number of Pages equal to the number of Tabs the Tab Strip widget have.
  3. Name each Page, the same name as each Tab of the Tab Strip widget.
  4. Insert the content of each Tab that was in the Tab Strip widget, under a different Page.
  5. Delete the Tab Strip widget.
  6. Save the Story.
