3634898 - Person Responsible of the Project is unable to view the Project

Person Responsible ABC assigned to a Project is Unable to view the Project. 

Project Engineer is also unable to view the Project when the Person Responsible to changed to user ABC. 

SAP Business ByDesign 

The Project Engineer changes the Person Responsible of the Project XYZ to user ABC. 

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Go to Projects view. 
3. Search for the Project XYZ.
4. User ABC (Person Responsible) cannot view the Project as the system does not show any search results for Project XYZ. 
5. The Project Engineer can also not view the Project XYZ once the Person Responsible is changed as user ABC. 

Access restrictions are not maintained. 

To resolve the issue, kindly follow the below steps:

1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to Business Users view and search for the user ABC.
3. Click on Edit and choose Access Rights.
4. Go to the Access Restrictions tab.
5. Find the work center view ID PRO_PROJECTS and on the right-side you have two columns called Read Access and Write Access.
6. For user ABC , Read and Write columns are maintained as Restricted.
7. Change this Restricted to Unrestricted under Read and Write access columns for this work center view ID.
8. Navigate to Detailed Restrictions tab. Under the column Access Group ID, search for the user ABC.
9. Check mark the box for Read Access and Write Access for this user and Save.
10. Now the Person Responsible ABC and The Project Engineer both will be able to access the Project XYZ.
