Symptom
- Popups are listed under Page("Outline > Pages") after conversion from Analytic Application to Enable Optimized View Mode.
- Shouldn't they be listed under "Outline > Story Popups" after conversion to Enable Optimized View mode?
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- Create an analytic application with a popup. The popup is listed under Outline > Popups.
- Convert the analytic application to Enable Optimized View mode. The popup is now listed under Outline > Pages, not under Outline > Story Popups.
Cause
- Analytic Application supported only a single page, and the popups were part of that single page. Now, with Optimized View Mode supporting multiple pages, the converted popups are appropriately placed under "Pages" in the Outline.
Resolution
- Popups from Analytics Applications are listed in Outline > Pages. This is the intended behavior.
- You can convert a page popup to a story popup by selecting "Convert to Story Popup in its ... (More) menu.
- Here is the definitions of page popup and tory popup from Create Popups or Dialogs (Optimized)
- Page popup, which belongs to a specific page. Other pages can't access it.
- Story popup, which can be used across pages in the story. Viewers can open the story popup from any page.
- For example, you can use a story popup to create a bookmark dialog, export dialog, comment dialog, or an action log that can be opened from any page in the story.
