Symptom

  • Error being received when manually uploading csv file in Process Intelligence
  • Error: INVALID_SCHEMA, Detail: Illegal initial character: filename_csv

Environment

SAP Signavio Process Intelligence

Resolution

  1. Remove all spaces and special characters from the column names in the CSV file.
  2. Reference the documentation for requirements: Manual Upload | SAP Help Portal
  3. Remove the double quotes (") from the CSV file using the replace option in your favorite text editor.
  4. When uploading the file in Process Intelligence, choose the quotes as double and the field separator as semicolon.
  • Note: Even though no quotes are used on the CSV file, the double quotes may need to be specified.
