Symptom

In Migrate Your Data app, when performing 'Prepare', 'simulation' or 'migration' steps, the system will end with error for multiple migration objects:

Syntax error in function module /1LT/XXXACS_XXXXXX    DMC_RT_GEN    5          
Field "L_DBCON_NAME" is unknown.    DMC_RT_GEN    10

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2508

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit
  2. Select the migration object
  3. Click on 'Prepare' or 'Simulate' or 'Migrate' button
  4. End with error: Field "L_DBCON_NAME" is unknown.

Resolution

Development team is working on root cause analysis and working on an Emergency Hotfix to solve the issue.

Temporary workaround:

Creating a new migration project and adding the corresponding migration object to proceed with the migration process.
