3635739 - Legacy license consumption after migration to 'Planning professional' license in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Old license types ('Business Intelligence' and 'Planning Standard') are still visible and being consumed despite the recent migration to 'Planning Professional' licenses.
• The "Business Intelligence" and "Planning Standard", licenses are still available in the SAC System Overview dashboard for both Production and Development tenants.
• Warning messages displayed in the "System" -> "Monitor" section:
  "Planning Standard licenses are being consumed through the next highest available license."
  "Business Intelligence licenses are being consumed through the next highest available license."

SAP Analytics Cloud (Entreprise)

1. Login to SAC system
2. Navigate to "System" -> "Monitor" in the SAC dashboard.
   >> Observe the license consumption details and warnings related to 'Business Intelligence' and 'Planning Standard' licenses.
3. Navigate to "Security" -> "Roles"
   >> Notice that the old license types ('Business Intelligence' and 'Planning Standard') are still being consumed despite the migration to 'Planning Professional' licenses.

• Purchasing new "Planning Professional" licenses does not automatically assign these licenses to individual users.
• User licenses are assigned based on the Role a user has (Each Role is linked to a specific license type).
• To migrate all users to Planning Professional licenses, it is necessary to modify the user role.

Follow the steps below to perform a bulk assignment of the "Planning Professional" license in the SAC system:

1. Go to "Security" -> "users"
2. Click the "Export Users" button to export all users to .CSV
3. In the resulting .CSV files, assign every single user a "Role" that requires a "Planning Professional" license ("Admin" for example). 
   PS: Don't both trying to change the "Licenses" column -> it doesn't do anything when re-imported.
4. Re-import the .CSV file 
   >> Note that all users now have "Planning Professional" licenses assigned to them.
5. Edit the .CSV file and remove all the "Admin" roles from the users.
6. Import the .CSV again to remove all the extra "Admin" roles you assigned.  
   >> The users should still have Planning Pro licenses assigned to them.
