Symptom
Error message: "AB is not a number. Only numeric values are allowed." is observed for the parameter "IN_DEDUCTORSTATE" (DEDU_STATE) of the Form 26Q report in "Run Statutory Reports" application.
Where "AB" represents the state in which the company is located.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the "Run Statutory Reports" application.
- Set the filter values and click on GO.
- Select a reporting task.
- Attempt to generate the Form 26Q report.
- Observe the error message "AB is not a number. Only numeric values are allowed." in the error log for the element "DEDU_STATE".
Cause
The parameter "IN_DEDUCTORSTATE" in the configuration activity "Setting Up Your Statutory Reporting" supports numeric values only. Improper configuration of this parameter triggers the error.
Resolution
- Access the configuration activity "Setting Up Your Statutory Reporting" (SSCUI 101071).
- Select the reporting entity and the report category.
- Navigate to the tab "Enter Parameters Specific to Reporting Entity".
- Ensure that the parameter "IN_DEDUCTORSTATE" is configured with the applicable numeric value.
