Symptom

[[EFFECTIVE_DATE]] tag in the Workflow email notification is translating in the dd/MM/yyyy format for portuguese language

Cause

Expected behavior

Resolution

  • The [[EFFECTIVE_DATE]] tag date format is set by message key:DATEFORMAT which is dd/MM/yyyy format for the locales: pt_PT & pt_BR.
  • This date format is used in many places as a system predefined format so this cannot be customised or change the DATEFORMAT as it is hardcoded.
