Symptom
- Candidates were inadvertently added to Onboarding, which is not yet in production.
- The Onboarding records for these candidates cannot be canceled manually.
- Unable to find and purge the candidates from Onboarding and update their status in Recruiting.
- Process trigger is missing for the Applicant ID.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Initiate Onboarding.
- Attempt to cancel the onboarding records for the candidates in Onboarding.
- Observe that the records cannot be found in Onboarding and canceled manually.
Cause
- The process trigger object for the affected candidates is missing, preventing the onboarding process from being completed or canceled.
- Process trigger is missing for the Applicant ID.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Check Tool
- Choose Validation tab
- Select Application: Onboarding
- Use the "Process trigger object exists for the new hire (ONB2CheckProcessTriggerObjectExists)" validation to identify errors for the affected candidates.
- Apply the Quick Fix provided by the Check Tool to resolve the errors.
- Verify that the candidates' "Onboarding Initiation Status" are updated in Recruiting to "Cancelled."
