3636203 - Billing Items not visible in Manage Project Billing application for usage-based and time & expenses billing in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • No items are being shown in a Project Billing Request (PBR) in the Manage Project Billing application despite postings existing for the billing element.
  • The system displays a billing amount of 0 for usage-based and time & expenses billing.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Project Billing application.
  2. Select the affected Project Billing Request (PBR).
  3. Observe that no billing items are displayed for usage-based and time & expenses billing, and the billing amount is 0.

Cause

  • The Billing Due Date is only considered up to the immediate past.
  • Postings are being made to a General Ledger (GL) account categorized as a revenue-type account, which does not generate entries in the project billing tables.
  • The GL account must be included in the YBPS_BILL configuration for proper material determination.

Resolution

  1. Change the Billing Due Date of the billing elements to today's date or a future date to ensure the entries are visible in the Manage Project Billing application.
  2. Verify that the GL account used for postings is included in the YBPS_BILL configuration. This is essential for proper material determination.
  3. Test and confirm that the billing items are now visible in the Manage Project Billing application.
