Symptom
The spend category showing as "not assigned" in the Maintenance Order Costs app for maintenance orders.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Maintenance Order Costs app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
- Navigate to a maintenance order and review the spend category associated with incurred costs.
- Observe that the spend category is displayed as "not assigned".
Cause
- Cost element maintained for the operation/material is not assigned to corresponding cost element group.
- The custom cost element group associated with the cost element is not marked as "Report Relevant" in the "Set Report Relevancy" app.
- The cost element hierarchy has not been replicated into the runtime repository using the "Replicate Runtime Hierarchy" app.
Resolution
- Refer to the SAP Help Documentation Analyzing Costs in the Maintenance Order and Maintenance Order Costs for detailed guidance.
- Verify the G/L account (cost element) assignment in SSCUI "103806 - Assign Cost Elements to Value Categories".
- Ensure that the custom cost element group is marked as "Report Relevant" in the "Set Report Relevancy" app.
- Use the "Replicate Runtime Hierarchy" app to replicate the cost element hierarchy into the runtime repository.
