3636571 - Error "Requested object EVVBAKE is currently locked by user CB*******" in app Rebuild Credit Exposure - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Error message: "Requested object EVVBAKE is currently locked by user CB*******."
  • Rebuild credit exposure job fails to execute.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the app Rebuild Credit Exposure.
  2. Schedule the job "Rebuild Credit Exposure".
  3. Enter the necessary parameters.
  4. Schedule the job for execution.
  5. Observe that the job fails with the error message: "Requested object EVVBAKE is currently locked by user CB*******".

Cause

  • The time interval between consecutive 'Rebuild Credit Exposure' job runs is insufficient, leading to a lock on the object EVVBAKE. 
  • Parallel execution of reports or changes to sales orders during the job run can also result in object locking.

Resolution

  1. Schedule the "Rebuild Credit Exposure" job during non-business hours to minimize conflicts.
  2. Ensure sufficient time intervals between consecutive job runs to avoid object locking.
  3. Verify that no other processes, such as sales order changes or parallel reports, are running during the job execution.
  4. If the issue persists, rebuild the credit exposure in the next available run.
