3636643 - Material cost inconsistency in maintenance order cost view after goods issue in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Material cost is incorrect in the maintenance order cost view after goods issue is posted.
• Actual cost in company currency is correct, but actual cost in global currency is incorrect.
• Discrepancy observed in maintenance orders where the actual cost does not match the material price from the material master.
• Issue occurs inconsistently across different materials.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Perform a goods issue (GI) transaction for spare materials which added in maintenance order.
2. Navigate to the "Display Maintenance Order" app and access the "Costs" tab.
3. Observe the discrepancies of actual cost while comparing it with the material price in the material master.

The issue is caused by incorrect configuration related to the global currency type in the system.

• To verify the cost data in company currency:
  1. Open the "Display Maintenance Order" app.
  2. Ensure that the default G/L account hierarchy is assigned through "User Profile" -> "Default Values" -> "COA/GL Account Hier.".
  3. Go to the "Costs" tab and change the cost view to "Detailed Cost Analysis".
• Alternatively, check the cost data in "Maintenance Order Costs" app (F4603).
• To address the discrepancy in global currency:

1. 1. Verify the configuration related to the global currency type in the app "Manage Material Valuations" (F2680).
   2. Consult with FI-CO consultants to ensure the price is updated correctly for the global currency type.
