3636754 - Unable to download and upload business roles from test tenant (n+1) to production tenant (n) - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Test tenant has been upgraded (n+1).
• Production tenant has not been upgraded yet (n).
• User has download the business roles from the test tenant using the Maintain Business Roles application.
• User wants to upload the business roles to production tenant using the Maintain Business Roles application.
• Getting errors like: IAM App XYZ does not exist 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access Maintain Business Roles application in the test tenant (n+1).
2. Download a subset of business roles
3. Access the Maintain Business Roles application in the production tenant (n).
4. Upload the business roles that were downloaded from the test tenant
5. Getting errors: IAM App XYZ does not exist 

It is not supported to download/upload business roles within different system releases.

Since the development system is still in the same release as the production system, as an alternative, it would be possible to download the business roles from the customizing tenant and upload them in the production system.
