3636940 - Error When Creating Over-The-Counter Sale Requests via Web Services

When trying to create an over-the-counter sale request via web services, the following error message is displayed on the error log:

"Create not possible; source object does not exist"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Open the SoapUI application (or other relevant API Testing Tool).
2. Create a new project.
3. Submit the web service request into the system.

The error "Create not possible; source object does not exist" appears on the error log and the request is not created in the system.

The issue occurs because the value passed in the tag <BaseBusinessTransactionDocumentID> on the payload is an ID which already exists for an invoice request on the system.

External Over-The-Counter Sale requests are also registered on the system as customer invoice requests (it is visible under the Customer Invoicing workcenter). Therefore, requests submitted with an existing ID will throw an error.

Always ensure that the ID maintained in the tag <BaseBusinessTransactionDocumentID> is unique. 

A prefix (such as OTC1, OTC2...) can also be added in order to make it consistent.
