3637103 - Change Termination Date’ Button Disabled for Certain Employees

The Change Termination Date button is disabled for certain employees but enabled for others.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Personnel Administration work center.
2. Go to the Employees view.
3. Select the respective employee.
4. Click Edit.
5. Open the Employment tab.
6. Observe that the Change Termination Date button is grayed out.

When an employee is hired as Unlimited, the Change Termination Date button becomes greyed out. It is only possible to change the termination date directly in the employee record when a specific day is selected. 

To change the termination date for an employee, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Personnel Administration work center.
2. Go to the Regular Tasks view.
3. Select End Employment Relationship with Employee.
4. Choose the relevant employee.
5. Enter the desired termination date.
6. Click Save.

After completing these steps, the termination date will be updated. The Change Termination Date button will then become active, allowing further edits if needed.
