Symptom
Unable to import labels to a newly enabled locale in SAP SuccessFactors Learning which causes a fingerprint error to appear
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Add a new locale (e.g., UK English) in SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
- Export all labels from an existing locale (e.g., US English) using the Label Import/Export functionality.
- Without modifying the exported file, attempt to import it into the newly added locale (e.g., UK English).
- During the import process, select the options "Use By: Both" and "Overwrite Existing Labels".
- Confirm the import. After a delay, an error message appears, and the import fails.
Cause
The issue occurs due to a null pointer exception in the system's label event processor, specifically when attempting to invoke "getDomainEventFromVO" on a null object.
Resolution
The issue has been resolved in the 2511 release for customers.
Customers can expect the fix to be available in the following release schedule:
- Preview: October 13, 2025
- Production: November 14–16, 2025
Note: Until the release is deployed, no workaround is available other than manually entering label values.
