3637421 - 'Invalid credentials' error when connecting to Microsoft SQL server from Process Intelligence

Symptom

You receive the following error when attempting to create a connection between your Microsoft SQL server and Process Intelligence:

Connection failed. Try to check the validity again or provide updated credentials. Learn More checking credentials: rejected. Reason: {"message":"Exception caught, caused by: Invalid credentials : /etc/crypto-policies (Is a directory), caused by: Invalid credentials : /etc/crypto-policies (Is a directory)","status":500,"error":"Internal server error",...

Cause

This error is caused by the On-Premise Extractor you are using, not being able to locate the SSL certificate of your Microsoft SQL server in your Java Keystore. 
By default, the JDBC driver that our On-Premise Extractor uses, searches in your default Java Keystore. 

Resolution

Please ensure that your SSL certificates are located in and are accessible from your Java Keystore. If they are but you are still facing this error, please contact SAP Signavio Support so we can assist you further.
