Symptom
'Error: ef = eg.getQueryManagerForDatasetId(ep) is getting uncaught exception' while opening a blended classic story in embedded SAC.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to embedded SAC
- Navigate to "Report Center" in SuccessFactor
- Go to "All Reports"
- Open the story
- Go to datasource > Edit datasource
- Click on 'Finish' for refreshing the metadata
Notice the error: 'Cannot read properties of null'
Cause
The error is thrown from processQueryDefinition() from Table.controller because value is too long and is truncated, which is the reason for QueryModel not being populated properly.
Resolution
Due to deprecation of classic story, the fix cannot be made to the table blending. Need to convert the story to ODE for the issue to get fixed.
