3637592 - Error "Replication Model XX and XX cannot be active at the same time" during configuration of communication arrangements SAP_COM_0008

While configuring the communication arrangement SAP_COM_0008, the system displays the error message: 'Replication Model XX and XX cannot be active at the same time'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Communication Arrangements App.
2. Set up a new SAP_COM_0008 scenario.
3. Attempt to save the configuration.
4. Observe the error message: "Replication Model XX and XX cannot be active at the same time".

The error arises when multiple application protocols are active under Outbound Services, causing a conflict between replication models.

Under Outbound Services, uncheck the Service Status only for Application Protocol: IDOC Interface. This avoids conflict and allows the communication arrangement to be set up successfully. 

Steps to create Communication Arrangements:

1. Select Communication Arrangements tile from Communication Management.
2. Choose New. Select the scenario SAP_COM_0008.
3. Provide an Arrangement Name. Click Create.
4. In the Newly created Communication Arrangement, for Communication System, choose the Business System that was created earlier.
5. Under Outbound Services, uncheck the Service Status only for Application Protocol: IDOC Interface.
6. Modify the Path field, by adding the service endpoints values.
7. Next, under Additional Properties, provide name for Replication Model.
8. For Replication Mode, select Change Replication or Initial Replication from the drop-down field.
9. For Output Mode, select Direct Output or Pooled from the drop-down field.
10. Click on Save and Activate.

The Communication Arrangement setup is now complete.
