3637615 - Premise Detail View Shows "No Data Available" Due to iFlow Failure and Language Conversion Error in SCV2

Symptom

  • When navigating to the detail view of a premise in SAP Service Cloud Version 2, no data is displayed.
  • This issue occurs due to a failure in the "Get Business Partner for a Premise" iFlow in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI). 
  • The root cause is a failure in the "Get Business Partner for a Premise" iFlow.
  • In the S/4HANA transaction SRT_UTIL, the following error appears:
  • "Data loss occurred when converting DE"
  • "Data loss occurred when converting EN", depending on the language setting used in Service Cloud V2.
  • This issue prevents retrieval of premise data, which is critical for service agents to perform their tasks effectively.

Environment

  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2 1.0
  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 1.0 
  • Utilities for SAP Sales/Service Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into Service Cloud V2 (e.g., tenant: my1000xxx).
  2. Navigate to Premises.
  3. Open the detail view of a premise (e.g., 6000000001).
  4. Observe: "No data available" message is shown.
  5. In CPI, the iFlow "Get Business Partner for a Premise" fails.
  6. In S/4HANA transaction SRT_UTIL, observe the error: Data loss occurred when converting DE or EN.

Cause

  • A data serialization or encoding issue occurs during SOAP response processing.
  • This is reflected in the following error in S/4HANA transaction SRT_UTIL:
    • Data loss occurred when converting DE, or
    • Data loss occurred when converting EN, depending on the language set in Service Cloud V2.

Resolution

  • Implement SAP Note 3609545 - Data fetched for different services in Utilities service cloud does not respect the requested language.
  • If the issue persists:
    1. Open a Support Case.
    2. Include detailed steps to reproduce the issue.
    3. Ensure backend connections are open and credentials are provided in the Logon Depot as per SAP Note 1773689 - How to add logon credentials (user ID and password) to the Customer Remote Logon Depot for a support case - SAP for Me.
