Adding a Dynamic Text in a Story report for Story Properties → Last Modifier/Creator will bring up an alphanumeric untraceable ID instead of a name/Username/User ID.

Cause
This is actually an expected behavior as per the current system design.
The Dynamic Text retrieves the SAC User ID associated with the user's SAC profile, which is created through IPS synchronization.
Resolution
If you believe an alternative behavior, such as fetching the user's full name, User ID, Username, etc. would be important for your business, you may raise an enhancement request as per KBA 2090228 - How to submit enhancement ideas for SAP SuccessFactors Products.
