Symptom
There is no Advanced Filter when selecting a Business Partner as Visit Attendee.
Environment
- SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
- SAP Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Version 2
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Visits Workcenter.
- Open any Visit.
- Go to Attendees section.
- Click "+" to add a Business Partner.
- Click the Value Help.
- The Business Partner List opens, and it is possible to see that there is no Advanced Filter option available.
Cause
In the Visit Attendees section, the combined Business Partner value help currently doesn't support advanced filtering.
This specific value help pulls data from multiple Business Partner entities, each with its own set of filterable fields. Because of that, there isn’t a consistent list of filters we could apply across all of them - so an advanced search isn’t feasible here.
Resolution
Customer still can use the basic search to narrow down the list.
Depending on what customer is searching for, it might also be able to extend the basic search by adding more fields to its scope (via Extensibility). By default, the basic search supports common fields like Display ID, Name, and the most relevant External ID.
Therefore, the basic search works within the scope of each individual service, so it knows exactly what to look for and is much more reliable in this setup.
