3637788 - Error AA243 when creating asset in AS01 or AS91

Symptom

  • Error message displayed: "Main asset number & already exists; Please enter another main asset no. Message No. AA243."
  • The error occurs while attempting to migrate legacy assets using BAPI_FIXEDASSET_OVRTAKE_CREATE.
  • The same error is triggered in transactions AS01 and AS91.
  • The asset does not exist in the ANLA table.
