Resolution
Prerequisites(Admin's action):
- Navigate to Administrator > Business Users.
- Select the end user.
- Click the button Edit > Attributes.
- Make sure the user is not locked and the password is active. If the user is using SSO, the password does not have to be active.
- Go back to the Business Users list view.
- Select the end user.
- Click the button Edit > Access Rights.
- Make sure the work center view "User Settings" is assigned to the end user.
Steps to enable C4C Server-side Outlook Add-in:
- C4C Admin navigates to the E-Mail Integration > Groupware Settings work center.
- Go to the Provisioning tab.
- Click the plus icon to provision the user.
- At this point, the Organization and Profile must be set up, and then click the Provisioning button.
- After the provisioning is complete, please navigate to the Users tab and click on the user's name to check the details.
- Afterwards, go to the Email Configuration tab, ensure the mailbox type is "Microsoft 365 OAuth (EWS API) - End user sign-in"
- Now, the end user needs to log in to the C4C system, navigate to the User Settings work center, and click the Change button.
- Select the email service Microsoft Office 365, and then select their MS Profile and grant the permission. (End user's action)
- The user has been successfully authenticated by now. The C4C Admin can install the C4C Server-side Outlook Add-in for the user.
- C4C Admin navigates to E-Mail Integration > Groupware Settings work center > Users tab, clicks the three dots, and clicks Install Add-in.
- Now ask the end user to restart his/her MS Outlook, the add-in will appear in the ribbon.

Note:
- If "Microsoft 356 OAuth (Graph API) – App only sign-in" is set up for users, the MS Outlook/Exchange admin can assign them directly to the add-in, and can also grant consent on behalf of all users in this directory, ensuring that the end users are not requested to give consent to run the add-in.
- In this case, the prerequisites above are still necessary, and the C4C admin still has to complete the necessary configurations detailed here.
- If your MS Outlook/365 admin doesn't know how to mass deploy the add-in for all users, please contact the MS Outlook/Exchange support team for further assistance. (Check Configure Mass Deployment of SAP Cloud for Customer, server-side integration for Microsoft Outlook)
