3637797 - MaxDB on Linux: Monitoring recovery process via Command Line

Symptom

  • In some cases, long running operations such as backups, recovery or check data started from Database Studio are cancelled due to connection loss between Database Studio and Database Server. SAP recommends running the long operations directly on the database host. 
  • This KBA shows example of the recovery started from the command line in Unix/Linux environment.
