3637993 - Error when creating production order with sales order in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The error message "Sales order has no CO object" (Message no. CO323) is displayed when attempting to create a production order from a sales order using "Production Order with Sales Order - Create" (CO08) application.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Fiori App Production Order with Sales Order - Create.
2. Search for relevant sales order.
3. Attempt to create a production order for a sales order.
4. Observe the error message "Sales order has no CO object" (Message no. CO323).

The requirement type assigned to the sales order item refers to an account assignment category that does not allow settlement using the sales order.

1. Ensure that the MTO requirement type has been allocated to the sales order before initiating a production order associated with the sales order. 
2. Check the planning strategy group for the material in application Display material under the MRP3 tab and make sure that the strategy group is compatible with the desired process.
