3637994 - Apprentices hired via onboarding 2.0 not appearing in apprentice management search before first working day

Symptom

  • Apprentices hired directly into Employee Central via "Add New Employee" can be created as apprentices and found using the "Apprentice Search" field with the "Include inactive users in search" option.
  • Apprentices hired via ONB2.0, transitioning through REC, ONB2.0, and MPH (Manage Pending Hires), appear as inactive future hires in the normal People Search but are not visible in the "Apprentice Search" field.
  • No error messages are displayed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Apprentice Management -> Take Action -> Manage Apprentices -> Create Apprentice.
  2. Tick the "Include inactive users in search" option.
  3. Search for newly hired onboardees in the "Apprentice" field.
  4. Observe that apprentices hired via ONB2.0 do not appear in the search results.

Cause

Currently, apprentice does not support onboardee-type users, as this user remains classified as an Onboardee even after completing Manage Pending Hires and has not been converted to an EC user.
