3638013 - “Threshold for running Adoption of Reporting Line and Job Relations as a job” behavior in Position Mangement Settings

Symptom

“Threshold for running Adoption of Reporting Line and Job Relations as a job” is changed to 20 in Position Management Settings, now it is needed to set it to 0. But error pops up saying : Set a value between 5 and 20 for Threshold for Running Adoption of Reporting Line and Job Relationships as a Job. The threshold ensures timely data processing.

Resolution

System uses the “Threshold for running Adoption of Reporting Line and Job Relations as a job” value to determine whether a job is needed to be triggered to carry out the Hierarchy Adapation.

  • If the number is 0, it means system will trigger a job to auto sync manager when change a position's parent position.
  • Due to performance consideration, we recommend to set a value between 5 and 20.

Pay attention: If the value is changed from 0 to other number between 5 and 20, it is not possible to set it back to 0.
