3638174 - Selections on measure input controls sets back the current state of an account dimension filters to its default state

Symptom

In view mode, changing the actively selected values for a measure input control resets a filter on an account dimension to the default value/range that is permanently set as the filter value for a table in edit mode.

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a story in View mode
  2. Change a filter value
  3. Go back to Edit mode
  4. Filter settings are not updated  

Cause

By design.

Resolution

  • Any filter changes made while in View Mode are only temporary and intended for instant data exploration, they will not be saved or reflected when switching back to Edit Mode.
  • To ensure that the filter settings are retained across both modes, please make these changes directly in Edit Mode. This will allow the configuration to be saved as part of the story.
