3638358 - Is it possible to restrict Time Type selection in Time Form

An administrator has created a Time Form Template for Annual Leave and wants to ensure that employees can select only the ‘Annual Leave’ Time Type when submitting the form.

For example, if an employee attempts to select ‘Sick Leave’ while using the Annual Leave time form, the system should prevent this action or display an error message.

Is it possible to configure this restriction within the Time Form setup?

1. Navigate to Administer Time > Time Forms

2. Click Generate Time Form

3. Select the Time Form Template (e.g., Annual Leave)

4. Open the Time Type dropdown

5. Observe that all Time Types associated with the employee’s Time Profile are displayed

• This is working as designed.

• Currently, the system does not support restricting the Time Type selection based on the Time Form Template. All Time Types assigned to the employee via their Time Profile will be visible in the dropdown.
• While Time Form Templates can be filtered based on:

  • Time Form Configuration (for Admin scenarios)

  • Time Form Eligibility (for Self-Service scenarios)

• There is no functionality to restrict specific Time Types within a given Time Form Template.
