3638426 - Labels on Employee Central are not translating when changing language

Symptom

  • Labels on Employee Central are shown always in the same language and with the same name, even when the user changes language under settings.
  • Labels on Employee Central are shown always in the same language and with the same name, even when label's name is set as Default under Manage Business Configuration.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Cause

This is related to the setup made under Manage Business Configuration and how Identifiers are labeled in terms of Translations. What user will see depends on:

  • If the identifier has a Label and the language the user has set on SuccessFactors does not have a translation, it will show the text set as Label.
  • If the identifier does not have a Label and the language the user has set on SuccessFactors does not have a translation, it will show the text set as Default.
  • If the user has set a language on SuccessFactors that has a translation, it will show the text set for the proper language.

Resolution

Follow below steps:

  1. Log in
  2. Manage Business Configuration
  3. select HRIS element
  4. Take Action
  5. Make Correction
  6. Perform the adjustments as instance expected behaviors
  7. Save

Note:

  • to change Label's name, type the desired text
  • to change default value, click on the globe icon on the Label's name right side
