3638513 - CPQ attempts to sync KBs that were deleted in VC or CPS

• Email notifications are sent for KBs that failed to sync.
• The KBs no longer exist in VC or CPS, but CPQ tries to resync un-existing KBs.

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ

1. Login to CPQ.
2. In Setup go to Developer Tools.
3. In Knowledge Base Diagnostics under Knowledge Base Synchronization Failed Data tab, all failed KBs are visible.
4. Under the Fetch Knowledge Base Payload tab, trying to fetch the payload would notify that the KB doesn't exist anymore.

When daily KB sync job is triggered, CPQ tries to fetch KB Ids that need to be synced/resynced for specific date and CPS returns response with KB Ids.

The first time sync for some KB fails, it's KB Id is placed under "Knowledge Base Diagnostics page on Knowledge Base Synchronization Failed Data" tab.

And in the next 10 days CPQ will try to sync this failed KB during daily KB sync job.

In the meantime if these KBs are deleted from CPS, then email notifications is sent for that failed un-existing KBs.

After 10 days CPQ removes the failed KBs from "Knowledge Base Diagnostics page on Knowledge Base Synchronization Failed Data" tab and you will stop receiving failed KB notification emails for those KBs.

First, ensure the KBs aren’t already present in VC/CPS. If you don't want to receive failed KB sync notification email for those KBs, then in CPQ you can delete the row for failed KBs. Following are the steps: 
1. In Setup, go to Developer Tools.
2. On Knowledge Base Diagnostics page under Knowledge Base Synchronization Failed Data tab, all failed KBs are visible.
3. Each row has KB Id and the delete button.
4. Click the delete button for every KB Id that you don't want to receive email notification and that doesn't exists in VC/CPS.
5. There is also global "Delete All" button which will delete all KBs from Knowledge Base Synchronization Failed Data tab.
