3638534 - Continuous Feedback allows to search users in Request Feedback who are not in target population

• Continuous Feedback allows to search and select employees outside of the target population configured in RBP.
• The issue is only related to employee search; after clicking "Send" button the feedback request or response will not be sent because of an application error.
• Error message: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring." appears when attempting to request or give feedback to a user in Continuous Performance Management instead of an error mentioning the user is not in target population.

SAP SuccessFactors Continuous Performance Management

1. Log in to the instance.
2. Navigate to the Continuous Feedback section within Continuous Performance Management.
3. Attempt to request feedback for a user who is not part of the Requester's RBP Target Population.
4. Fill out the feedback topic and click "Send."
5. Observe the error message: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring."

This is an expected behavior. If the Feedback Request recipient is not present in the RBP Target Population of the Feedback Requester, a generalized application error is displayed as per the default system behavior.

An enhancement to improve the validation message in the latest version of Continuous Performance Management (CPM) is currently under consideration and is planned for a future release.

This improvement is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing user experience. Specifically, the development team is working to implement validation checks earlier in the process—at the user search stage, rather than during the final "Send" action. This change is expected to provide more immediate feedback and streamline the user workflow.
