3638656 - Error 500 encountered while updating identified stock in production orders using manageproductionorderin web service

• Error occurs while updating identified stock to the output product in a production order using web service ManageProductionOrderIn.
• Error message displayed: "Source type \CLASS=CM_AP_LEX_INVALID_ISTOCK_EXPIR is not compatible, for the purposes of assignment, with target type \CLASS=CM_".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Production Control Work center. 
2. Select the Production Order view.
3. Attempt to assign Identified Stock to the Output Product while updating the production order using the ManageProductionOrderIn web service.
4. Search for relevant Production Order ID and confirm whether Identified Stock is updated for Output Product.
5. As a result, the Identified Stock is not updated.

1. Navigate to the Application and User Management Work center.
2. Under the Input and Output Management view, select Web Service Message Monitoring.
3. Check the error message associated with the relevant Production Order.
4. Observe the error text: "Source type \CLASS=CM_AP_LEX_INVALID_ISTOCK_EXPIR is not compatible, for the purposes of assignment, with target type \CLASS=CM_".

 Since the Identified Stock is expired. Check the expiration date.

1. Navigate to Warehousing and Logistics Master Data Work center.
2. Go to Identified Stock view.
3. Search for particular Identified Stock and choose Edit.
4. Change the expiration date of Identified Stock to a valid future date.
5. Alternatively, assign another identified stock with a valid expiration date.
6. Or update the output product using updated identified stock in relevant Production Order.
