3638668 - How to acquire Technical ID of the Roles via Data Impex Tool

Symptom

This article explains how we can acquire the UUID/Technical ID of the Business Roles.

Environment

SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  • Navigate to Settings--> All Settings
  • Click on "Import and Export Data" --> Export.
  • Try to search for Roles Entity and it is not available for Export.

Cause

Roles Information is included in the "User" Entity.

Resolution

  • Navigate to Settings--> All Settings
  • Click on "Import and Export Data" --> Export.
  • Select "User", ensure that "Complete Entity" is checked.
  • Export the Data.
  • Now, in the Exported File, open the File : User_User_Role_******
  • You will be able to see the Technical ID/Role ID of the Roles.
