3638989 - Prevent automatic survey assignment on learning history upload in successfactors learning

When uploading learning history for users, surveys are automatically assigned to them and subsequently appear in the user's Learning Assignments (Legacy Learning) and 'Request For Me' section (New Learning Experience).

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Access Learning Administration
2. Navigate to System Administration
3. Use the 'Import Data for Learning History' feature or the 'Learning History Connector' 
4. Upload Learning History for courses that have surveys linked to them.
5. Observe that the surveys are automatically assigned to the users and appear in their Learning Assignments.

This is an expected behavior of the system. When a course has a required or optional survey linked to it, uploading the learning history for such courses automatically assigns the survey to the users. As a result, they appear in the user's Learning Assignments (Learning legacy) and Request For me section (New Learning Experience).

To prevent the linked survey from being assigned to users on the learning history import process, you can follow this workaround:

1. Disable the following settings in the `Completion Status` configuration: 

• 'Include history records with this completion status for Course Feedback Surveys Assignments'
• 'Include history records with this completion status for Follow-up Survey: Surveys Assignments'

[To do this, navigate to Learning Administration -> References -> Manage Users Learning -> Completion Status-> Search for the relevant course completion Status ID, open it in edit mode-> Disable the above settings, and Apply Changes.]

2. Once the settings are disabled, you can import the Learning History data using that 'Completion Status ID' in the input file. 

After successfully importing the learning history, the linked survey for the course will no longer be assigned to the users.

Please note: It is highly recommended to test this process in your Preview instance before implementing it in the production system to ensure everything works as expected.
