Symptom

  • A blank home screen appear for some users upon login.
  • The error "Promise.withResolvers is not a function" shows in the console using the Browser Developer tools.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to the system.
  2. Observe that the home screen appears blank after login.

Cause

With the OpenUI5 (SAPUI5 core) commits 4adc461 and e397413, included since SAPUI5 1.136.2 and 1.138.0 respectively, use of the native JavaScript API Promise.withResolvers was added internally.

The error "Promise.withResolvers is not a function" can be caused by using a browser that is either outdated or not one of the browsers supported by SAPUI5.

Resolution

Updating to the latest browser version, as per Browser and Platform Support - Documentation - Demo Kit - SAPUI5 SDK.

Please notice that the most recent Browsers versions do not support Windows 7.

The minimum supported version is Windows 10, SAP recommends updating to Windows 11.
