3639062 - Material Description column in Maintain/Change/Create PIRs

• The "Material Description" field is not available in the Table tab of the Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs) Change/Display App.
• The request is for an extensibility option to add this field to the screen.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

1. Open the Maintain/Change/Create PIRs App.
2. The table does not include the "Material Description" field.

This behavior is by design. The 'Maintain PIRs' app has a simplified default table layout to optimize screen space and usability for common tasks. The Material Description field is available within the app's data model but is initially hidden. Users have the capability to personalize their table view to add or remove columns as needed, without requiring any technical configuration or development.

The field observed as 'Short Text' in the 'Items' tab of the 'Change PIRs' app is the same data as the 'Material Description'.

• In 'Maintain PIRs' app, the user can add the Material Description column to the table view by following these personalization steps within the app.
  1. In the upper-right corner of the table, locate and click the "Settings" icon. This will open a pop-up window titled "View Settings."
  2. In the list find the field named "Material Description"
