3639064 - External ID Not Searchable for Products in Enterprise Search

Not possible to search External ID of products via Enterprise Search.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Logon in the C4C system.
2. In the Homepage, click on Enterprise Search on top of the screen.
3. Search for Product ID 123XYZ, via Enterprise Search.
4. Result: No results are displayed.

External ID is not supported as a query parameter for Products within Enterprise Search. It cannot be added as a field in either the Basic or Advanced search options. As a result, entering a Product’s External ID in Enterprise Search will not return the expected results.
