3639084 - How To Keep Member Names or Repetitive Values in Cross-Tab Table (Grouped or Aggregated) Display for Story Reports

Symptom

  • In a Story Report (Cross-Tab), identical values in consecutive rows are grouped together, causing subsequent rows to display blank instead of repeating the value.
  • No error messages or error codes are associated with this issue.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Story Report using the Cross-Tab report type in SAP SuccessFactors Story Reporting.
  2. Populate the report with data containing identical values in consecutive rows for a specific column.
  3. Observe that the first occurrence of the value is displayed, while subsequent rows with the same value appear blank.

Cause

The Cross-Tab report type is designed to aggregate or group identical values in consecutive rows by default.

Resolution

  1. Open the Story Report containing the Cross-Tab.
  2. Right-click on the column header where the values are grouped.
  3. Select "Table Functions" from the context menu.
  4. Navigate to "Show/Hide" and select "Member Name".
  5. Enable the option "Repetitive Member Names".
  6. Verify that all rows now display the repeated values instead of leaving them blank.
