3639161 - Outbound delivery order is not generated and distributed to EWM while posting goods movement for maintenance order in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Working on integration between maintenance order and EWM, below errors raised while posting goods movement for maintenance order, which block the outbound delivery order generating and distributing to EWM.

  • Error message: "Essential transfer parameters are missing in record: 000001" when attempting to post goods movement for maintenance order using MIGO.
  • Outbound delivery gets stuck in the EWM queue with error: "Can't determine a staging area".
  • Error message: "No ship-to party defined in Table T321 for ref. movement type 261" encountered during goods movement posting.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a maintenance order.
  2. Add stock material components to the maintenance order.
  3. Release maintenance order and reservation generated.
  4. Post goods movement for maintenance order using MIGO.

Cause

  • Error "Essential transfer parameters are missing in record:  000001" is due to missing value for parameter 'Goods Recipient'.
  • Error "Can't determine a staging area" is due to missing entry for corresponding staging area.
  • Error "No ship-to party defined in Table T321 for ref. movement type 261" is due to missing configuration.

Resolution

  • For error "Essential transfer parameters are missing in record:  000001", maintain the recipient in Maintenance Order -> Operation -> Material, or in MIGO -> Where.
  • For error "Can't determine a staging area", enter app 'Determine Staging Area - Recipient Location' and maintain new entry for corresponding staging area, then reprocess the stuck queue.
  • For error "No ship-to party defined in Table T321 for ref. movement type 261", enter SSCUI "101303 - Define Default Values for Deliveries" and add the 'Ship to Party' to the warehouse and save.
