Configure a business rule to retrieve the previous pay component amount for use in document generation.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Document Generation

1. Navigate to Manage Document Generation.
2. Create a new template.
3. Create a business rule to fetch the previous pay component amount.
4.  Navigate to the mapping template and map the rule.
5. Generate the template.
6. Error occurs: The following placeholder(s) could not be processed:

Expected Behaviour. 

Document Generation always picks data from the respective field mapped to the placeholder, considering the "As of Date" selected during generation. Suppose any previous or future data needs to be shown on the generated document. In that case, the recommendation is to use the Mapping Types "Past Direct" or "Future Direct" and not "Direct" or "Rule".
