Symptom

  • User is unexpectedly prompted for two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging in Administration Console via the password login link, despite 2FA being disabled at tenant level in SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS). 
  • The 2FA enforcement setting is not configured on the user profile, yet the system continues to require a second factor at runtime.
