3639350 - Unable to change stock type in Manage Purchase Scheduling Agreements App

In the "Manage Purchase Scheduling Agreements" app, when attempting to change the Stock Type from "X" (e.g. Quality inspection or another special stock type) to "Unrestricted Use" (i.e. left empty), the system does not retain the change. After saving, the Stock Type reverts back to "X" automatically. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to the "Manage Purchase Scheduling Agreements" app.
2. Open a scheduling agreement.
3. Go to any item.
4. Change the stock type to "X".
5. Save the changes.
6. Change the stock type again to "Unrestricted Use" (empty).
7. Save the changes.
8. Observe that the stock type remains "X" instead of "Unrestricted Use" (empty).

The issue occurs when the inspection setup is active for the material and plant combination in the material master. When the inspection setup is active, the stock type is automatically set to "X" regardless of the value entered in the UI.

To change the stock type to "  " (Unrestricted Use) or another type, verify whether the Quality Inspection setup needs to be active. Adjust the configuration as per the business requirement.

1. Verify whether the inspection setup is active for the material and plant combination in the material master.
2. If the inspection setup is active, determine whether it is required for the material and plant combination.
3. To deactivate the inspection setup, follow these steps.
4. a. Open the material master in Change Material(MM02).
5. b. Navigate to the "Quality Management" view.
6. c. Adjust the inspection setup as needed.
7. Save the changes in the material master.
8. Retry changing the stock type in the "Manage Purchase Scheduling Agreements" app.
