Symptom

  • This filter is no longer usable because the data source , dimension, selected hierarchy or custom group no longer exists.  the dimension has a missing required hierarchy; or the dimension type has changed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SuccessFactors,
  2. Go to report center.
  3. Edit one story
  4. Add some columns to the query builder
    ==>The existing story filter and widget filter become unusable.

Cause

  • A specific column used on the Widget Builder page has been changed. When the data source was edited, the metadata may have been refreshed, causing the link to that column to be broken.

Resolution

  • Removing the filter once and then re-adding it.
