3639845 - Data load stuck in process during ingestion via API interface

Symptom

  • Data load operations via the ingestion API interface are stuck in the status 'In Progress'.
  • Specific tables remain in the 'In Progress' state for extended periods.

Environment

  • Data Source: CSV, Connector

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate a data load via the ingestion API interface from an external source (e.g., SAP ECC) to the target system.
  2. Validate the status of the tables in the data load process.
  3. Observe that some tables are stuck in the 'In Progress' state while others are marked as 'Completed' but with incomplete data.

Cause

  • In rare cases, large file sizes or technical service interruptions during FILE_CONVERTING or FILE_UPLOADING can result in stuck executions.

Resolution

1. For executions stuck in FILE_CONVERTING or FILE_UPLOADING:

  • Re-send the data with smaller file sizes, ideally no larger than 150MB, as per documentation guidelines.

2. For incomplete data in tables marked as 'Completed':

  • Re-import the affected tables with smaller file sizes to ensure all records are processed.
