3639899 - Field mapping is erased when a custom validation is added - Compensation

As a business admin, you have configured a custom field to be mapped to Employee Central. When trying to add a custom validation, the Employee Central mapping to custom field is removed. This could lead to a problem where, after saving, the system may not accurately reflect the intended Employee Central data or validation.

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
• SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

1. Open a template in Compensation Home
2. Go to design worksheet and select a custom field that is mapped to Employee Central
3. Add custom validation and insert a formula
4. Click outside of the formula box and notice the EC mapping disappears

In the meantime, please select "No Validation" to restore the EC mapping. Then, click on "Error" again to reapply the formula, and the mapping will remain intact.
