3640082 - Submit an Idea is not working

Symptom

After clicking "Submit an Idea" button in self-service, being navigated to a invalid page with error "Hmmm... can't reach this page".

 

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Home -> Self Service Overview.
  2. Select Service and Support -> Submit an Idea.

Cause

The "Submit an Idea" button points to an outdated and invalid URL (ideas.sap.com), which is no longer in use. The idea forum has been transitioned to the influence forum.

Resolution

As ideas.sap.com is no longer in use, advise the customer to use one of the following alternative methods to submit ideas:

  • Contact a Partner: Partners can use the Partnerfinder site to propose ideas.
  • Contact the Account Owner: Share the requirement with the Account Owner.
  • Submit the idea directly in the influence portal: https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#campaign/886.

Note that as the BYD topic is under maintenance, no immediate changes can be made to the framework to address the invalid URL.
