Symptom

  • Flow for the capital decrease is not generated after a reversal.
  • No automatic generation of a new position flow for reversed principal decreases.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Reverse a capital decrease flow in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system.
  2. Observe that no new position flow is automatically generated for the reversed principal decrease.

Cause

  • This is standard system logic. For interest, initial principal increase, or condition-based flows, reversal will automatically generate a new flow (when the original position flow becomes 'R', a new position flow is generated with status 'S').
  • For principal decreases or flows entered in the 'Other Flows' tab, reversal does not automatically generate a new position flow.

Resolution

  1. Manually re-enter a new flow for the reversed principal decrease.
